Three Ways of Socializing I Highly Value as an Introvert
1. Socializing in a calm, low energy environment.
The absence of large groups and noise helps me deeply focus my attention on the person/people I’m with at the time. For example, a discreet establishment, a friend’s house, a quiet hill overlooking the city, a night drive or walk.
2. Keeping a tight circle.
I prefer hanging out with a few people whom I have an actual connection with instead of casual friends or random acquaintances. Bonus points if it's in an intimate setting where you can vent and express your thoughts freely with silence being an option that’s not misunderstood.
3. Quality time over frequent contact.
Each planned or unplanned session filled with value in whatever form that relationship gives with that person. More than that can be overwhelming, devaluing and unsustainable.
